Mini Cooking: Sweet & Sour Stir Fry Tofu

If you are on diet and you don’t want to starve yourself. According to google, tofu is great substitute to meat; soy products have a meat-like protein composition, cholesterol free, low fat and a high proportion of the fats present are polyunsaturated fatty acids. Tiny Fried Rice

If you have left over steamed rice last night don’t throw it away we will make a fried rice perfect for breakfast. Fried rice is a dish of steamed rice stir-fried in a wok, often mixed with other ingredients, such as eggs, vegetables, and meat.
Leftover rice is usually used because the moisture in freshly cooked rice will cause it to steam instead of fry.  You can check my video how to make perfect steamed rice. (Kinldy click this link to watch the episode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yelc6zPSywg)

I suggest having tasty fried rice; you should crush the garlic and mince, likewise in onion, to bring out the aroma and flavor.

Let's start!

Ingredients:

  • Left over steamed rice
  • Cooking oil
  • Garlic
  • Onions
  • Carrots
  • Cabbage
  • Egg
  • Pepper
  • Soy sauce

 Procedure;

  1. Scramble the egg, set aside
  2. On same the same pan, pour a little oil
  3. Saute garlic and onions
  4. Add the steamed rice, carrots & soy sauce.
  5. Add egg, pepper and cabbage
  6. Serve!

    How to cook rice?

Asians are tagged as "ricevores" because our meal is incomplete without rice. When I was in grade school my mom taught me how to cook perfect steamed rice, when we say “perfect” it should not too sticky (like rice cake)

Today, we will cook steamed rice.

    Ingredients:
    Water
    Rice

    Procedure:

Rinse or wash the rice twice.
Add water; use your finger to measure. The ratio should be 1:1 for example (in your pot) if the height of the rice is 1/2 inch then your water should have same height. You can add liitle water or you can reduce it, depend s on the type of your rice.
Place the pot over a moderate to high heat.
When the rice comes to a rolling boil, turns down the heat to the minimum possible, and continues simmering for five more minutes or depends on the size of your cooking pot.
Check the rice; Use your spatula to check if the rice is already cooked.
